2010-8-16thanks for the reply bruce. the makita grinder is a bit small for the grinding i have. the foley machine is set up to gring 36 knives and is a considerably heavier cast iron grinder probably 450 lbs. i am leaning towards keeping the older heavier fixed table . was just looking for opinions on this specific model machine. thomas
